In episode 390 astrologers Aerin Fogel, Bear Ryver, and Chris Brennan discuss the meaning of the zodiac sign Aquarius in astrology, and explain the traits and characteristics associated with people who were born under that sign.
Aquarius is the eleventh sign of the zodiac, and it is a masculine or diurnal sign, fixed, airy, and ruled by the planet Saturn.
This is the eleventh entry in our series of episodes where we do a detailed breakdown of each of the signs of the zodiac, one per episode, in order to develop a more nuanced understanding of their overarching meaning and significations.
During the course of the episode we talk about different keywords and archetypes associated with Aquarius, and also look at the birth charts of celebrities who were born with different planets in that sign.
Aerin and Bear’s credentials for this episode are that they both have a number of prominent placements in the sign of Aquarius in their birth charts.

Greetings! I am only 90 minutes into “Aquarius in Astrology” (so much more yet to come); my sun sign is Aqua, my rising is Aries, with moon in Libra….subsequently, I am the proverbial ‘breaker of vessels’ (aka: institutional norms and such). Thanks for a very comprehensive presentation; each of you appear and present as knowledgable, grounded, open, friendly and confident…not necessarily easy features/personal qualities of character to portray thru an electronic medium. I have heard it said of Aquarius that we are the most Humane Robots in the Zodiac (said by an Aquarius Tarot reader)…and as quirky as this description sounds, I cannot say that it is inaccurate. lol….I have the double labour of also being left-handed, so my view and outlook do appear all the more ‘out-there’ than is even typical for Aquarius. Just wished to say that I, as a relatively new listener to The Astrology Podcast, enjoy and appreciate the things I’m learning through these podcasts.
I have twins with Aquarius stelliums (and conjunctions on the cusps which may mean nothing because I’m a baby student of astrology). Interesting observation is that the first born is obviously ahead of her time-art, science, expressing self-and the second is an old soul in those same areas.
I’m so grateful for your series on signs. I’m one of those who was born during the 1962 stellium in Aquarius. (Feb. 11, 1962; 3:00 am; London, England) Now that I’ve reached my second Saturn return, I’m trying desperately to understand what, if anything, my natal chart means in terms of fulfilling my mission–which I feel is incomplete. I sense a tremendous calling to DO SOMETHING! From your advice on stelliums, I can see how my natal chart has been uncanny in predicting the various crises in my life (and the timing as well). I’d love to understand what my chart says about how to best serve the world in the remainder of this life. I must’ve been born during that 1962 Aquarius stellium for some reason!
